DAVID W. CHECKETTS - CHAIRMAN
David W. Checketts founded Sports Capital Partners, a sports, media and live entertainment company in 2001. SCP recently acquired the St. Louis Blues and the 20,000-seat Savvis Center Arena as well as the landmark Kiel Opera house in St. Louis. In addition to developing a 22,000-seat live sports and entertainment venue in Salt Lake City, SCP has also acquired SportsWest Communications and acquired a significant interest in the College Sports Television network in 2004. Checketts held the title of President and Chief Executive Officer of Madison Square Garden for a successful seven-year period. He oversaw all operations of one of the most powerful sports and entertainment companies globally, including the New York Knicks, the New York Rangers, and the New York Liberty along with the award winning MSG Network and FOX Sports Network. While at his post, Checketts took on the ambitious acquisition and comprehensive restoration of New York's historic Radio City Music Hall.
